| Cary Thomas was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC. He attended
High Point High School in Beltsville, Maryland. Upon graduating in 1965,
he enrolled at the University of Maryland in College Park, paying for
college classes by working at a Shell service station in Beltsville on
nights and weekends. From 1965 to 1970, his hobby was
drag racing his 1959 Corvette along with his childhood friends and new
recruits to the Shell station. In 1970, Cary completed his B.S. in Information
Systems, began his M.B.A. (also at Maryland) and graduated from automobile
repair to computer system design. |
